My daily calendar says that “Parents often have gut-level feelings about their children’s friends. When that happens, ask God for Holy Spirit-inspired discernment and pray accordingly.”
I truly believe that. I’ve had mother’s intuition. A lot. How often do you tell your children about those feelings? Or do you let them learn on their own? I’ve got a son in middle school, so I don’t know those parents as well as I did when he was in elementary school. Fortunately for me, he has kept most of his friends from elementary school, so it hasn’t become an issue yet.
How do you draw the line between keeping them on a leash and letting them run wild?
